Happy Sunday, bibliophiles!
The last week of February’s been a decent one, I’d say. The rest of my library haul was mostly 3-star reads, but there was still some good stuff in there. I had a lot more time to blog this week, and I had a lot of fun writing reviews and doing tags 🙂
Writing-wise, I finished up the outline for my short story, and I just started writing it last night! I’m at almost 800 words, and man, does it feel good to be actually writing again. Outline’s necessary and all, but nothing beats the real thing, does it?
Other than that, I’ve just been drawing a bit, messing around on Minecraft, watching more WandaVision (AAAAAH), starting to rewatch season 3 of Fargo, and obsessively listening to Julien Baker’s Little Oblivions since Friday morning. (I thought it came out sooner, and I usually like to sit with an album about a week before I review it, so expect…*something* next week…)

Today’s song:
That’s it for this week in blogging! Have a wonderful rest of your day, and take care of yourselves!

*le me who didn’t use to outline* What’s an outline?!!! 😂 I used to jump to the straight into writing instead of outlining, so I agree that nothing beats getting started with writing. I am so glad you ended up liking Mooncakes! 🥺 The Life and Deaths of Frankie D. sounds interesting! I hope you enjoy it and the rest of the other book! 🥺💖💖

Sdkjfhskjdfh I used to do that too but then I’d get 20 pages into my WIP and have no idea what I was doing

Oooh what’d you think of Felix Ever After?
Also, I’ve seen this cover like 6 times but still do not understand what is going on in the cover of The Life and Deaths of Frankie D, do you know what that cover shows?

It was alright, I really liked the representation and (some of) the romance, but I wasn’t a huge fan of Felix’s character (WHY DID HE CONTINUE TO SURROUND HIMSELF WITH TOXIC PEOPLE) and the writing style. Definitely better than This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story though
HAH yeah I’ve looked at it a few times myself and I don’t have a clear idea either skjdfhskjdhf your guess is as good as mine

Ooh, okay, I get that!
Haha I guess that would make sense. Okay, yeah, I just looked at it for a bit longer too. Honestly, for a long time I actually thought that that hand was a body, like some really skinny person wearing a giant hat that covered most of their face but then I looked at it a bit closer and was extremely confused because that was definitely not a body but now I do see the hand. It’s very weird that the hand is below the hat though, haha. Maybe it’s supposed to be holding the very edge? Like if you look at it, how the brim is sorta tilted down, it looks a bit like the hand is actually holding it but the very very edge. I really do not know.

YEAH I KNOW I THOUGHT THE SAME THING IT LOOKED LIKE THAT FROM A DISTANCE KSDJHFSKJDFH

It’s actually pretty obvious that it’s a hand now that I’m looking back on it, but it didn’t seem obvious at ALL before haha.

ok I looked at the cover a little longer and I think it’s supposed to be a hand clutching the brim of the top hat? That’s what the hand position is suggesting to me but…it’s below the top hat? I’m so confused
