Happy Sunday bibliophiles!

The first week of summer has been…interesting. I didn’t have as productive of a reading week (only three books finished), but all of the books I read were great, even if one of them was a re-read. The news has been deeply overwhelming in the last few days, so I’m trying to hit the balance of being informed but not getting myself overtly worked up. And as always, BLACK LIVES MATTER.

On that subject, please consider signing the petition linked below to arrest the three other officers involved in the murder of George Floyd. (One officer has been arrested already).

PETITION/JUSTICE FOR BIG FLOYD

On the upside, though, I watched The Life Aquatic (underrated!), and I signed up for Edelweiss! I requested 8 ARCs, and they’re all still pending, so we’ll see if I can get any of them…

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I’m finally back on my semi-regular schedule after finals week, and now it’s finally summer! REJOICE!

Other than that, my week’s been alright. Besides my return to blogging, I’ve been doing a lot of drawing, I got to re-read a good book that I haven’t picked up in a few years, I listened to a lot of good music, and I also watched Pan’s Labyrinth. [gross sobbing] The weather’s been warming up, and even though we’re still inside, it’s shaping up to be a good summer, I think. Plus, not one, but TWO of my library holds came in yesterday, so I think next week should be a productive reading week as well! (And, I got two people to read Aurora Rising, so that’s always a success.)

Happy Sunday, and Happy Mother’s Day! I know I don’t know where I would possibly be without my mom, and I am so grateful to have someone as special as her in my life. 💗

molly weasly | Tumblr

All things considered, it’s actually been a pretty great week for me! I had a lovely May 4th/Star Wars day, and I rewatched The Empire Strikes Back that night. I’ve had a relatively easy online school week, the weather’s been warm, I’ve had loads of fun writing (everything’s more fun once you launch everyone into space), watched Fight Club (SO well-written), and rediscovered a song that I hadn’t listened to in ages. I also got Aurora Burning in the mail, and read it twice. I couldn’t have asked for a better sequel. Even though the ending absolutely WRECKED me. I’ll save all that for my review next week, so stay tuned! 😉

And now, I’m at 100 books on my Goodreads challenge!

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles!

It’s been like this for a while, but the feeling of all of the weeks blurring together has really started to set in. Things that feel miles away only happened a matter of weeks ago, and the few dates I’ve either dreaded or have been really excited for have really started to creep up. It’s a quarantine blessing and a curse, really.

That being said, other than the general monotony of online school, it’s been a good week. I listened to a lot of music (both actually new and new to me), read some good books, and reached–and surpassed–my Camp NaNo WriMo goal of 110,00 words! I also finished Fargo [incomprehensible screeching] and watched Rear Window, and the weather’s been wonderfully spring-y. Can’t complain. And there’s only TWO DAYS until Aurora Burning arrives! I preordered it a few months back, so hopefully I’ll get it in the mail sometime next week…

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles! I hope today finds you safe and healthy.

Whew…not sure why, but this week just flew by, for no reason in particular. Just…[Thanos snap] like that. Bam. No rhyme or reason to it.

And now, I’m dealing with the consequences of last year’s highly successful reading week. After finishing Hellboy II: The Art of the Movie, I DNF’d not one, but TWO books in a row, and after that, I haven’t read anything higher than three stars this week. Oof…

Hey, at least we got more new Car Seat Headrest this week, their new album comes out in   less than a week, and Aurora Burning is almost here, too! At least I’ve got that to look forward to in the next few weeks. I’ve also been watching Fargo (almost done with season 1), watched Dogma (ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL), and got to 200 pages on my WIP for Camp NaNo WriMo! I now only have 2,000 words left until I reach my goal of 110,000 words!

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles! As always, I hope you’re all safe, sane, and healthy. And please, STAY HOME. FOR ALL OF OUR SAKES, STAY HOME. 💗

This week began fairly normally; it had its ups and downs until about Thursday afternoon or Friday, and from there, things started to really pick up. I read a whole score of great books, watched Darjeeling Limited (Wes Anderson is always a win), there’s new Car Seat Headrest, goofed around on my guitar, and did a lot of drawing! And on this leg of Camp NaNoWriMo, I finally got to 100,000+ WORDS! WOOOOHOOO!

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles! Happy Easter, as well, if that’s your thing. 🙂 🐰

I’m *slowly* getting back into the routine of online school. I’ve been working away at a 1,000 piece Mignolaverse puzzle (I’ll post a picture once I’ve finished it, I’m pretty close), and I finally got around to posting my Johann comic-to-film comparison that I’ve been putting off for over a year. (Lazy 100). I’m in week 2 of Camp NaNoWriMo, and I have almost 95,000 words now! My reading week was slightly less productive than the last few weeks, but it looks more on the normal side, as opposed to my excessive quarantine reading. Plus, I managed to get in a solid 5-star read this week! That has to count for something.

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles!

Whew…it hasn’t quite been a tiring week, but it’s been a week of strange transitions, what with going back to online school, and subsequently finding out that we’ll be doing online learning for the entire rest of the school year. (Oh, and the general disappointment in the fact that The New Mutants was supposed to come out on Friday, but it’s been delayed until who-knows-when…sigh…). I’m starting to accept that this is starting to become the new normal for now, but I think we should all keep in mind that this is not forever. As with all things, COVID-19 will eventually pass. Happy Sunday, bibliophiles!

As always, I hope you are all safe, comfortable, and well during these crazy times. We had our “spring break” this week, which mostly consisted of me sprawled out on the couch reading, but it was quite relaxing, all things considered. Our state now has an official stay at home order, and I have online school almost through the end of April, so next month should be…interesting, to say the least.

I read a LOT this week, and I’m happy to say that I loved most of what I read! Libby (online library) has now become my savior, and I’m now stocked up on library books that I can check out on my kindle. I re-read one of my favorite books, watched The Grand Budapest Hotel and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (LOVED both of those), started learning “No Surprises” (Radiohead) on guitar, and I created an original book tag! Online school starts back up next week, so we’ll see how that works out…but overall, I’ve actually had a weirdly good week!

Happy Sunday, bibliophiles!

Whew, what a week it’s been…

Not tiring, necessarily, but this week was the first week that my school tried out online learning. It wasn’t too bad, per se, just…a chaotic and strange transition, at times. (*coughcoughcough SPANISH coughcoughcough*) Nice to do everything from bed, at least. Our spring break is next week, and then we have a good three weeks more of online learning, almost through the end of April. I’m a very introverted person, but I still tend to get kind of stir-crazy. So I’m going to try and make this month at home into a time of creative productivity (working on my WIP, drawing, blogging, etc.), LOTS of reading, and plowing through my movie bucket list. (Once this social distancing time is over, I’ll try and dedicate a post to all of the movies that I’ve watched. So far, I’ve only crossed off and RBG, but I can assure you that I will be SUBSISTING off of Netflix in the next few weeks…)

Hopefully I’ll be a *bit* more prolific blogging-wise during this time.
